Management:

Brian Carroll, CLU, CPCU, President and Chief Executive Officer
In recent years, Mr. Carroll has made strategic acquisitions, building SBIA from a small local insurance agency to a national full service insurance superstore with multiple locations and a major online presence, serving both consumers and financial institutions.

Brian is a Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter, with over 20 years of insurance industry experience. He is past president of local chapters of Chartered Life Underwriters and the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. Mr. Carroll also holds NASD Series 24 and Series 7 licenses. He has a Bachelor of Science degree from Boston College and an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business.

 

David Soltys, CLU, Vice President
Mr. Soltys has over 22 years of insurance industry experience, joining the Small Business Service Bureau, Inc. in 1986 and shortly after moving over to the Small Business Insurance Agency, Inc. He is a Certified Life Underwriter and holds NASD Series 63, 7 and 24 securities licenses. Mr. Soltys is a graduate of Nichols College and earned a Masters in Business Administration from Northeastern University’s Graduate School of Business.

 

James J. Egan, Vice President
Mr. Egan oversees the Small Business Insurance Agency’s insurance sales and marketing initiatives, demonstrating a strong understanding of strategic planning and the ability to build, motivate and organize sales and operational teams within tight timeframes. He also provides valuable input into new product development, positioning, branding and sales.

Mr. Egan began his career in 1980, as a sales and marketing professional with a leading Fortune 500 insurance company. He has appeared as a guest lecturer at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, as well as its School of Public Health. Jay holds a bachelor’s degree from Assumption College.

 

Richard Nolin, Director of Sales
Mr. Nolin has extensive experience working with business owners, entrepreneurs and individuals to help them establish retirement plans and put them on the road to their financial goals. During his 11 years with the Small Business Insurance Agency, Inc., Rich has developed strong relationships with clients from small and mid-sized family-owned businesses to larger corporations. His personalized approach includes completely reviewing their entire asset portfolio and developing comprehensive, integrated financial strategies to help them achieve their financial objectives.

A graduate of Nichols College, Rich specializes in retirement planning using his expertise in employee benefit plans. He holds Series 7, 24 and 63 Securities licenses.

 

Anne Moquin, CLU, RHU, REBC, Administrative Manager
Since 1985 Ms. Moquin has worked with the agency's customers on service issues with their health, life and property casualty insurances. Previously, Ms. Moquin worked for SBIA affiliate the Small Business Service Bureau, Inc., assisting members and helping to coordinate "Starting Business" seminars.

Anne earned her three designations through The American College: Registered Health Underwriter, Registered Employee Benefits Consultant and Chartered Life Underwriter. She holds a Series 6 license.
